Dont't Dream It, Drive It

1972 Oldsmobile Toronado Brougham Original Cond.

The Oldsmobile Toronado was a front-wheel-drive luxury coupe offered by the American automaker General Motors under the Oldsmobile brand from the fall of 1965 to mid-1992. The model counted among the personal luxury cars, it was produced in four different series. The model name is an artificial word derived from the term Tornado.

Presented in the fall of 1970, the second Toronado differed from its GT-style predecessor in having a more conventionally styled body with notchback and exposed headlights, but retained front-wheel drive.  The second-generation Toronado was thus more similar to GM's luxury model the Cadillac Eldorado than to the Buick Riviera with which the Toronado shared the E platform. It was initially offered as a base model and luxury variant Toronado Brougham. The 7.5-liter V8 continued to power the car. In 1972, after the introduction of power measurement according to the SAE net standard, the engine was rated at 253 hp.

The 1972 Toronado offered here is in award-winning, exceptionally good, unrestored original condition.
